NOTES:

TUSC: The purpose of this activity is to work on
speaking skills. Information about this
activity will be sent home in your child's TUSC notebook and will also be
located on the classroom blog. Each student presents once every 2 weeks.

Art: This has not been scheduled
into the timetable; however, we will be doing special art projects throughout
the year that will specifically fit into the themes we will be studying. These
projects generally take large blocks of time; therefore, I find that this system
works better than scheduling in a period per cycle.
· Buddies: Each student in room 3 will be paired up with a student from Ms.
Rose’s afternoon kindergarten class. Students will meet every Day 6, period 7. We will begin the year as student leaders (helping them
get ready for the end of the day), but may plan to do other projects together
as the year progresses.
· Afternoon
Routines: During this period, students
will cycle through a variety of different math and LA jobs. These jobs may vary
throughout out the year and may include: a handwriting station, math
problems/games, word study, mental math, basic facts, etc…
